The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the members of Ootacamund Gymkhana Club is convened to discuss and approve a proposed amendment to the Articles of Association of the Club. The agenda focuses on inserting a new clause after Article 26 to allow the Club, through an Extraordinary General Meeting, to extend the tenure of the existing Executive Committee for administrative continuity during exceptional circumstances. This extension, if approved, will not exceed a period of two years and must be justified with recorded reasons in the interest of the Club. Members will consider and vote on this proposal as a special resolution in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.
